Verify that the user is the Admin of their local PC.
Verify that all users have no restrictions from Group Policies for installing software.Without enough Windows User permissions, the installation or configuration may fail and work improperly.
This can be verified by opening the Control Panel, Select View, large icons. Click on User Account. User name should have Administrator listed.
Verify that Outlook 2010 32-bit or higher version is installed and working for that user.
- Only version of 64-bit Outlook compatibles is 2016!
Set UAC (User Account Control) to 'Never Notify' level before installation.
- Navigate to the Control Panel, User Accounts, Change User Account Control Settings: Never Notify. Click OK to save.
- Reboot PC to apply settings.

Apply Windows 10 PC or Windows 2012 or later fix for UAC:
- Fix Microsoft UAC: As the PC administrator user use Regedit and modify the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\policies\system
- Right click the EnableULA string and click Modify
- On the Edit DWord(32bit) Value windows, in the Value Data:field type 0 [replace the 1 with 0]
- Click OK
- Restart PC
If a prior version of Infor CRM (Saleslogix) exists, follow steps for complete removal of prior software.
- From Outlook, click on File>Options>Add-in's. From the Manage: click GO...
- Check box the old Saleslogix Address Book Extension and Saleslogix Mail Extension and select 'Remove'. Click OK.
You may receive a notification that you must run Outlook as Admin to perform this task.
- Exit out of Outlook, Rt. click the Outlook shortcut icon on your Desktop or task bar and select 'Run As Administrator'. Repeat the above steps and close Outlook when finished.
Verify that the DesktopManager.exe is running from PC Task Bar.
Emails will be not attached to Infor CRM History if the Desktop Manager is not running. From the Task Bar you should see the red icon 'Infor'.

If icon is missing, click on the Start Menu>Infor CRM Xbar> click on Desktop Manager to run.
Tip: If Desktop Manager is not listed in the Start Window, Xbar didn't install properly due to user permission to the //users/<username>/AppData/local/Infor folder.
